The career of Denis Tiani starts in the early 1970s and continues to today. His legendary work, which includes hundreds of idiosyncratic, highly individual artworks published in Witchcraft & Sorcery, Nyctalops, Weirdbook, Whispers and other seminal small press publications, is now collected for the first time in a well-printed, 350+ page book, including a generous selection of his color artworks and sculptures. There is a fine introduction by Jason Van Hollander, and a warm tribute afterword by Harry O. Morris.
There’s never been an artist like Denis in the small press. With his self-published fanzines, especially the well-received Department 99 (published in miniscule editions of under 20 copies), this is virtually your only chance to see Denis’s work in a handsome, easy-to-read and hold format.
Our edition is small in size, and small in quantity: only 250 copies for sale. Cloth bound with stamping on the spine and front, four-color endpapers, heavy matte art stock, and a handsome dustjacket, the book also has head and tail bands and a ribbon marker. Each copy is signed by Denis Tiani and Jason Van Hollander.
