Melanie Tem
Melanie Tem (1949-2015) was an American writer of dark fantasy and horror. She was also a published poet, an oral storyteller, and a playwright. Her short fiction received the Bram Stoker, international Horror Guild, British Fantasy, and World Fantasy Awards. She published numerous short stories, eleven solo novels, two collaborative novels with Nancy Holder, and two with her husband Steve Rasnic Tem. Some of her stories were been collected in the volume The Ice Downstream. Her solo fiction appeared in Asimov’s Science Fiction Magazine and the anthologies Supernatural Noir, Portents, and Werewolves and Shapeshifters.
